Black Sands
The Crown has sent eleven ships to end the last pirates of the western Caribbean.
Captain Isabela Vane has come to Punta Ceniza for a Spanish galleon wrecked off its reef. So has her rival, Duarte Reyes, who holds the other half of the map. So has the Royal Navy, under the commodore who burned her father's ships eleven years ago.
Between them stand a freed smith who sails with Vane and owes her nothing, and a fisherwoman who will bargain with anyone to keep her village from burning. Each of them lies to the others. And a hurricane is coming.

Red Gilt
Before she was Vane, she was Isabela Vaz, and the whole Caribbean owed her money.
At nineteen, Isabela watches an English frigate burn her father's three ships after they have struck their colors. All she saves is his ledger: forty thousand cruzados owed to the house of Vaz in every port of the Indies.
With her father's old captain and fourteen men, she sails north to collect. Willemstad pays in cochineal. Tortuga pays in powder and lies. And when nobody will pay at all, the debt collector becomes a pirate.

Green Gold
Spain has come for the last of the gold.
Six months after the hurricane, the English Crown believes Captain Vane drowned with all hands. A clerk in Havana knows better. A Spanish salvage fleet is bound for Punta Ceniza with chained divers in its hulks and orders to punish the village that sheltered the pirates.
Vane brings the Cormorant back. And every sunrise, the Spanish commander has a rope.
